2025 Paddleboard Art Project

A Journey in Art : Walkabout

I was honoured when I was approached by SeaGods Paddle Boards to create a commissioned art piece that would be featured on their new alpine hiking paddle board. What an incredible stroke of magic the universe paired my favourite pastime - paddle boarding and my other love, painting rocks.

My design depicts a paddling journey on which one might embark on this board, soaking in beautiful natural vistas.

One could also interpret the flow to represent the passage of time, personal growth or spiritual ascension, or the incredible feat of perseverance.

The original design was painted on a two-foot piece of paddleboard shaped slate, my first and favourite medium for mandala landscape painting.

Seeing it all come together with the launch of the board, is a truly amazing feeling, one i'm likely to treasure all my years.
